The town of Featherstone, near Pontefract in West Yorkshire, is to unveil a new war memorial on June 15. The organisers would like to hear from any veterans, particularly from the York and Lancaster Regiment who recruited in the Sheffield area and trained at Pontefract, who would like to attend.
