Reds relinquish Services crown
A SUICIDAL final ten minutes shattered the Army’s dominance of the Inter-Services Rugby Union Babcock Trophy match as the Royal Navy snatched a dramatic win on a pulsating afternoon at Twickenham.
With a record 56,184 crowd cheering the sides on the Reds looked set for a ninth successive title as they entered the final quarter in total control. But instead of capitalising on their advantage the defending champions inexplicably handed the momentum to their Senior Service rivals.
